I read that thread. If cureent FOP does not support multipage tiff image in PDF, I am afraid we have to redo our whole project because most of our tiff images are multipage.
 
 If anyone has some hint or approach for this, I'd appreciate it.
 
I will take a look at libtiff to see if I can use.

There was a thread about something similar very recently:

It was indicated that support for multi-page TIFFs is poor in general (not
only in FOP).
Maybe the mentioned tools can be of help to you...
