I wrote a couple of ugly perl scripts to avoid the problem: one
to encode character entities before producing the .fo file and the
other to decode them surrounded with <fo:inline font-
family="Symbol">entity</fo:inline> after. In that way, I can go on
producing html and pdf file from the same docbook source. This
works fine.
As a small tip:
I think <fo:wrapper font-family="Symbol">...</fo:wrapper> will be
slightly more efficient, since it avoids an extra inline-area.
Nevertheless, I hope this problem will be fixed in future versions.
We'll do our best. It's close, but not yet for the upcoming release.
