ok, the problem is not the fop serializer but the fop config file. somehow it
doesn't accept the context protocol for defining the base or the font
directory. even
<font-base>./fonts</font-base>
produces an error: java.net.MalformedURLException:
no protocol: ./fonts/

Thanks for your work, i really appreciate the collapse border model.
now it seems that the fop-serializer excepts the context protocol for
referencing the fop-config file no more.

worked for me with fop 0.93
all i did was replacing the fop.jar
do you have any idea?

Well, being the server of the whole Apache Foundation, Im not sure we
have the rights to change the cache settings. Or perhaps we can change
them locally to our website, Im not a specialist. Anyway, if its just
a matter of waiting 2 days, thats perhaps not worth the trouble. There
is already a lag between the website and the download mirrors, since the
former refreshes faster than the latters. So...
