This is slightly OT, but it is related to my previous post [1] about
having multiple pages. I gave this more thought and I would like an
imposition solution that also supports Postscript, also the solution
suggested to me was not to my liking (see [1]) because of licensing,
headless support and other reasons.
I was wondering what other people use for imposition? The solution I am
looking for will include:
* Java support, or something that works in Solaris
* Postscript/PDF support, alternatively, a java compatible way of
converting from PDF to PS.
* Can be embedded in java code easily
I am thinking that a solution for PS and PDF could probably be built
using the xml graphics common and iText, but don't know enough about
either to do so. I also read that imposition may make it into FOP proper
[2], how likely is that anytime soon?
