That pointed me to the class org.apache.fop.render.DefaultFontResolver, 
implementing org.apache.fop.fonts.FontResolver.  Is there a way to specify 
the FontResolver to use?  That would be nice and clean, imho.

If not, yikes.  I'll have to look through this code...
