thanks, this seems to be working ... kind of ...
The error message is gone, BUT the Xerox Phaser is still behaving in
the same strange way:
A message appears on the printer asking for LETTER-Format paper, after
quite a while it prints anyways on the ISO-A4 as wanted/needed and
configured in the PrintRequestAttributeSet ... :-(
Anyone here any idea, where this behaviour might come from?

That's only used for building fop-transcoder-allinone.jar which is a
special case. The necessary class is in xmlgraphics-commons-1.3svn.jar
which needs to be in the classpath.
