It never occured to me to think of FOP having a fo:object (like
java) and then act accordingly.
Note that this works basically for ALL inheritable properties (font-
family, font-size, font-weight, but also things like hyphenation,
language or white-space-treatment, linefeed-treatment etc.)
It is preferable if these are set on the fo:page-sequence or the
fo:root (to avoid unnecessary parsing of identical values), and
overridden only where they deviate from the 'standard' value you
choose for the document.
