Hi Lucian, Squares stand for U+FFFF characters, witch seem to replace space characters. We need a short XSL-FO that reproduces the problem for deeper investigation. Alternately, you can try copy/paste with another font (this will indicate if your font is faulty or not), or retry with FOP TRUNK (this will indicate if there was an issue that had been fixed).
