How are you determining and displaying the page number? We'd need to see some code (xml,xsl,fo) to determine why it isn't working or how it should work. There shouldn't be any issues if you're writing the values of each page to your xml and setting the page numbers into tag values.

I am trying to create a document that will have specific page numbering like the one below: 1,2,3,3a,3b,3c,3d,3e,3f,4,5,6,7,8 I have been able to produce a document that goes up to 3f using a combination of page-number-citation page-sequence But when I restart another page sequence for pages 4-8 it uses the last page sequence for the start value (ie g = 7) so I get: 1,2,3,3a,3b,3c,3d,3e,3f,7,8,9,10,11 The problem is I cannot guarantee that the sub sections will always start on page 3, and the number of subsections a,b,c are very likely to change on each document created?
