I don't know if with all fonts, but I used Arial and Times New Roman and
they should have also normal style.
Now I changed to Version 0.94 and all works fine. I didn't changed any
other settings.....

the latter, which one? It may be an italic-only font. Of course, it
could be that you have a font that FOP can't properly deal with. But so
far I haven't had any problems in that direction.
