Hi Jayant, I have used FOP previously to generate reports from a MySQL database, but I found it easier and aesthetically pleasing to use a JDBC module to gather the data points, then GNUPlot to generate the picture and reference the picture in the XSLT to generate the PDF. The reports were customer facing documents and that seemed the easiest way to create professional looking reports.
No doubt others in the community have better methods, but that's my tuppence worth.
