Heh... Sounds interesting, and reminds me of something I once started, way back when: see Bugzilla 45390. The idea of using generic dictionary objects was already there, but only as an extension to the document trailer, offering the possibility of specifying some viewer/print options (e.g. default zoom, page scaling, JavaScript onLaunch action...)
