I've successful tried the Ssarp letter.
IMO, this is not the initial cause: see the previous error message in
your log:
(...) at org.apache.xalan.transformer.TransformerImpl.executeChildTemplates
(...)

You should have a look in the XSLT processing, Xalan throwing an
Exception there.
