Hi, I don't understand what you want to do. What is "fntsample"? Where is the "uploaded file"?
Note that with FOP 1.0, metric files are required only when you don't want to embed font in PDF. In addition, note also that metrics are the same for both Arial and Helvetica (witch is part of the 14 PDF font base), so they are interchangeable when not embedded (this is done by host system).
