Well I have sort of tested the system now, I used the default fonts.fo file and transformed it to PDF.
This simple PDF is not compatible with adobe reader. This is now getting silly. My code + test files + output files are available at http://athos.ardentservers.com/fopengine-error.zip If someone could point me to the reason why I am getting invalid PDFs out I would appreciate it.
