What Greg said, also you can configure Smart Proxy as a http/https proxy for discover calls, depending on if you have selected Discovery Proxy for the Subnet the host was discovered in or not. Then the call will be proxied, you need to enable Discovery Smart Proxy plugin. Check our documentation, it's all there.
