This is not a blocker, but it's not hard. Just need to pass proxy
settings into the Conary Configuration when creting the backend.

This has been a long standing issue. Still, probably not a blocker.

This is precisely why I'm doing this. This is *absolutely* a blocker
for this release, as you aren't guaranteed a successful update using
the GUI currently (it just generates many updatejobs using packagekit
ids instead of the properly-generated set of updatejobs from using the
"top-level" troves).

Initially, I thought that we didn't have to do this; now that I fully
understand the interaction between the GUI and the backend, we should.
I'd back out any patches you have made to remove the simulate methods.

I'm handling it, as I think we just need to sprint thru the update
jobs and emit the appropriate messages to the PK frontend rather than
doing a full applyUpdateJobs(test=True), which was what I was doing.

Zodman: As far as things that I'd like to see get done, if you can
make FL-2014 and FL-2053 work, that would be great. The proxy issue's
probably more important, IMHO.

BTW, I've been checking in changes into Hughsie's git repo on
packagekit.org, so use that as a starting point. I'm planning on
backporting most of the backend changes into the 0.5.X branch with his
permission once I'm done.
