this problem is new in GAP 4.10.0,
I hope it will disappear in the next GAP version.
As a temporary remedy, I propose either not to use GAP 4.10.0
or to read the following piece of code into the GAP session
after startup.

[ IsGroup, IsMultiplicativeElementWithInverse ],
function( G, id )
return GroupWithGenerators( GeneratorsOfGroup( G ), id );
