I second this! (Being able to add a character prefix as a variable identifier!)
I do a lot of scripting in MEL - a language embedded in Alias' Maya. Being able to tell my custom highlighter to Code Explore like CPP is *awesome*, but the variable names all begin with $, and I haven't found a neat way to highlight them.
