I have 100% confident on pspad even this accident happened to me. I called that was a accident because : I did this all the time (power off) when I couldn’t close pspad. Only this tme was bad luck.
Here was what happened in this case: 1) power off my computer 2) can’t boot XP anymore – can see XP logo, then back to bios screen. Keep looping from XP to Bios. 3) Try every menu item on boot menu : safe mode, safe mode with networking, last good …. – none of them work 4) Use XP installation CD to entry rescue mode, execute commands : fixboot, fixmbr – still no luck 5) Use ERD2005 boot CD, it said no XP was install – so no luck again 6) Hook this hard disk to another XP machine, disk manager said the hard disk only have 1 partition – no luck because I have 2 partitions 7) Burn live CD linux with ntfsprogs package, then run ntfsfix – no luck 8) Give up to run HP’s recovery DVD 9) I lost everything on the hard drive 10) Spent 2-3 hours to uninstall tons of garages come with HP’s DVD 11) Spent 2-3 hours to setup tools that I love – like Pspad – the best script editor. -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?6,39838,39932> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
