I updated my Wine installation. Good news: this issue is solved in Wine. (Bad news: the wine updates do not follow shortly in the ubuntu stable release. For other peolple with the same problem: download the Wine package from the wine site itself: http://www.winehq.org/ The download page explains how to add their repository to the list of available packages and updates.)
