I should have added some information about how Chrome is set up to work with PSPad. This is very straightforward at least with the new 'Joyride' version of Chrome and Windows XP.
After downloading Joyride from the RemObjects site it unpacks and sets up its own directory structure. It is easy to create a syntax file using the TP file provided as a template and the Chrome Documentation as a guide to the reserved or key words. In the User Highlighter window it is necessary to set up the Code Explorer to ftChrome (only available on recent version(s) of PSPad). In the Highlighter Settings >> Compiler window/tab it is necessary to set the parameters which tell the compiler where the dot Net framework files are to be found. This has to be done with exactly the right spacing in exactly the right places. In general it needs one space before any forward slash character '/'. There is a lot of scope for errors as the string can get very long. A 'Project' directory is useful and can be set as the 'default' directory in the Compiler tab. It is really only a convenience and there is no project management available. A particular convenience of Chrome is its ability to do syntax highlighting and the choice the user has in setting the colours to match their idea of what makes a program most readable. -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?2,43329,43484> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
