Well, as soon as I change the directory somewhere else, and back to the 'root'
directory, vsftpd seems to recognise that it isn't in the root directory. Maybe
there's a difference in the way you handle the directory listing on connect and
afterwards?

directory.'
It could be that you just _expect_ to be in the root directory on login in PSPad
and just ignore the possibility of not being there ..?
Would kind of make sense, as changing away from the starting directory and back
there again makes PSPad recognize that it's not in the root directory (as said
before already - just making some more sense now)
