Well, problem solved, fair enough. But for the record: PSPad does work without an installation in the usual sense. I've worked with it for several (three or four) years now without ever using the installation program. And I have a working copy on a USB drive that I just copied from my program folder. (One out of probably 1,000 reasons why I love it and recommend it to everyone who I think might find it useful.)
