I was able to remove all spaces to the carret position with ctr + delete: (| = cursor pos where I used ctr + delete) ddd = 1 abc | <laaaarge amount of blanks> = 0 ccc = 1 resulted in: ddd = 1 abc = 0 ccc = 1 with tabs it always removed 1 tab while space where remove until the next char - now not event one space ist removed.
