Hale, >So what are we going to do about this??? YES, I am making this your >problem too!!! I am tired of this crap and the lack of tech support >that seems to come with ATAPI devices from retailers and from the >device manufacturers. while I understand how you feel, isn't this a Microsoft problem rather than one of ATA/ATAPI manufacturers? It is, of course, not your fault that all the world (except myself) consists of Microsoft users but then it is not the fault of all of those manufacturers either... (I believe the fault is of someone - known or unknown - who had MS promoted to what it is today, but that is another story which we are unlikely to have in our lifetime...) Let me predict: as long as Wintel rules and there are ATA/PI devices, you'll keep on getting those messages... May be not much longer if we are optimistic and certainly not forever. Some time ago as I had to use ATA/PI devices in my systems (which have nothing to do neither with MS nor with Intel) it took some work with the standards, a message or two - pretty specific - exchanged with you (as always, you were kind and you wanted to help) and here I am, with 3 ATA/PI devices in my new model. (See it at http://transgalactic.freeyellow.com/pntb.htm ). I wish I could suggest something better than a filter to kill those messages for you... :-) Dimiter P.S. BTW, you seem to have sent your message only to t13, not to T10. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Dimiter Popoff Transgalactic Instruments, Gourko Str. 25 b, 1000 Sofia, Bulgaria http://transgalactic.freeyellow.com <---- now with the new Nukeman Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] Phone: 00359/2/566752, Fax: 00359/2/9540384 Subscribe/Unsubscribe instructions can be found at www.t13.org.
