Did this discussion go anywhere?

Did we have anybody less ignorant than I of Crc maths volunteer to specify how 
unacceptably weak the Crc grows, now that we've raised the limit on bytes per command 
to xFFFF blocks ((32MiB - 0.5KiB) @ 0.5KiB) rather than x100 blocks (128KiB @ 0.5KiB).
