Hi Hale,

Not quite, it is all the folks with lame software like Legato, Veritas, et
al which is totally dependent on SCSI command sets.  Instead of fixing
their boat anchors, they found a way to poison the hardware.  It is also a
way for the drive makers to make ATA a two tier product since SCSI is a
dying work horse.
