 Curtis,  I've never seen an ATAPI drive report that it can do overlap.

Actually,

        ATAPI queuing and overlap are defined at the ATA level.  I just
don't think that they are used.  I am not even sure if they are
implemented.

Well, overlap is pointless on SATA :)

Open to debate about queueing...  in theory the user could be using an 
ATAPI->SCSI adapter, with a "real" SCSI disk attached that supports 
queueing.

Unless I'm mistaken, queueing isn't defined for the PACKET command at 
the ATA command set level.
