Hi all,
Microsoft is interested in extending the ATA8-ACS specification to include accommodations for new devices that have Non Volatile Caches. A proposal (e05106r0) has been posted to the documents section of the T13 website. Please take a little time to review the proposal as there are some new concepts exposed by this technology. In order to make the discussion about this proposal go smoother the document has defined quite a few new words. I expect the majority of the discussion on this topic will be held at the February meeting, but f you have any questions about the contents of the proposal or if you would like to begin discussion early, please feel free to send email.
