Has anyone yet devised a way for OS drivers to differentiate between SATA devices, and PATA devices attached via a SATA bridge?
I currently check "word93 == 0" to detect a SATA device, but this is just a guess based on (a) vague language in the SATA 1.0a docs and (b) field experience.
I would prefer a "I am SATA" feature bit.
