Hale, this is not true. There is a lot of work related to ATA features that apply to both SATA and PATA being done in T13. Some people (incorrectly) think that T13 develops and publishes the ATA standards in a public and "open" environment. Of course more people every day now realize this is not true. The real ATA standards are developed in secret and only those things the companies in the secret society want to be made public are given to the public and/or T13.
