CopyWipe www.terabyteunlimited.com/copywipe.html has Secure Erase available and will optionally remove the HPA (both only under BIOS (direct) and on a standard IDE controller - RAID controllers are currently ignored as well as SCSI). Except for secure erase, it doesn't wipe remapped sectors and my suggestion of needing some basic standardized support for enable/disable remapping as well as knowing which sectors are remapped comes in to play here (just one of the reasons that standard is needed). -- David F.
