Dear all, In clause 8.29,8.2.2, page 182 of ATA/ATAPI-6, it says the Error log index in the Extended Comprehensive SMART error log ranges from 0 to 65,536. However, the Error log index defined in Table 33, page 181 is a 16-bit data field which maximum value is 65,535. How can a decimal value 65,536 be expressed in a 16-bit binary form? Is the Error log index ranged from 0 to 65,536 wrong and the correct range is 0 to 65,535? Best regards, Kepler
