I was asked to send my opinion to the entire list... so here it is...

If NV cache is needed for some reason (perhaps to get around so design
flaw in an OS?) then...

NV cache on the motherboard makes a lot more sense and should be a lot
cheaper and more reliable and much more functional. Putting NV cache
in a drive is really stupid - it costs more and makes drive less reliable.

Its just like the stupid AV commands - it makes a drive more complex and
less reliable just to avoid putting some extra memory in the DVR.
