Steve,

I've been using Protel SE99 SP6 under Windows 2000 and it seems pretty darn stable to
me. I was running under windows 98 to begin with, which was crashing on me almost
daily. Hope this helps....

I just saw an announcement about Windoze XP being released soon, apparently
an attempt to merge the diverging tracks of the "game" versions and the
"professional" versions. Does anybody on the list know anything which they
can talk about as to whether this supports Protel well? I'm pretty tired of
all the crashes under 95 and 98, but I have too much legacy code and hardware
to jump to NT, although I own a legitimate copy of NT 4.0. Early rumors were
that Win ME didn't handle Protel well, so I haven't gone exploring in that
arena.
