It appears that Mr. Velander may have misunderstood what I wrote; I
apologise if I was not clear. I'll quote the rule from Techserv, if I can
find it. It might be part of what new subscribers receive; I had occasion
to set up a subscription recently (to establish the archive).
I was agreeing with the rule to the extent that we should not pass on
general warnings. If any of you don't know what I'm talking about, well, I
hope you enjoyed your nap, Mr. Van Winkle. DO NOT OPEN MAIL FROM "FOOLED
YOU", IT CONTAINS A VIRUS! It's almost always in capital letters. In a
certain sense, this is a virus in itself.
But if one knows that a virus has actually been or is *specially* likely to
be distributed to the list, either as the list itself or to persons because
they are members of the list, then a warning should be posted here. Mr.
Velander is correct and this is also what I was suggesting.
