You can't.

I even just tried making up a quick server that edited the height attribute 
of a component, changing a few heights and checking the 3D View.  It 
ignores the component height attribute from what I can see and uses an 
internal model based upon who knows what (but this is discussed in 
either/both the on-line help or on the Protel knowledge base I think).

In doing this few minutes of testing I found that the 3DView would 
gradually disappear after a few view changes (viewpoint/zooms 
etc).  Another bug - but unless someone is really keen on this 3D view 
feature I am not sure I can be bothered writing up a bug report and having 
to extract all the video card/OpenGL/driver versions.

Complain to Protel and tell them that the tool is useless as it stands.
