I was working on an RF board whose track width was 73 mils. When this was
routed to an 0805 component, the circular end overshot the pad and ended in
the middle of the component. Then it was impossible, (drc stopped me) from
routing the other side. It turns out that if the route is stopped before the
pad center and still makes contact with the pad, connectivity is identified.
Thanks for the response.

I don't know a way to change it, except for placing a fill or a single
layer no hole pad at the end of the track.
Protel, and as far as I know all others, draws tracks with a round
aperture. Only fills and Pads ar drawn or flashed with rectangular aperture.
Just to satisfy curiosity, whats the reason for a sqare end?
