I read it to be that the line saying it was corrected in Service Pack 6 was
added recently and was the current status where the rest was the history of
the item. I have not been able to verify this, and it should be made more
clear. Read item 2211 and tell me if you can understand what it is saying
about the problem?

Subject: Re: [PEDA] New Items Uploaded to Protel's Knowledge Base
What's with these KB issues? Am I not reading this right?
On one hand they state it has been corrected in Protel 99 SE Service Pack
6.
Immediately following, they state: "The reason for its occurrence is
currently not known but investigation into the problem is being made. At
present, there is no work around..."
How can Protel correct for it with SP6, if they don't know why the problem
occurs??
I'm confused!!!

Using the export to AutoCAD files (*.DXF,*.DWG) file type in Schematic, I
receive an access violation under Windows 2000. What is the problem?
Item ID: 2217
Product: Advanced Schematic 99SE (SP5)
Date Reported: 03-Jul-00
Revision Date: 01-Nov-00
Item Category: Issue
Summary: Using the export to AutoCAD files (*.DXF,*.DWG) file type in
Schematic, I receive an access violation under Windows 2000. What is the
problem?
Details:
Scenario: On a PC with Windows 2000 installed, doing the following results
in an access violation. File Export Setup the file type and options, and
confirm the export. It occurs for both outputs, DXF and DWG. Altering the
settings in the dialog does not make a difference.
Access violation at address 41303924 in module 'VCL30.dpl' in
SchDwgUtility:ExportToDwg
Comments:
This has been corrected in Protel 99 SE Service Pack 6. Exporting from the
Schematic Editor to DWG/DXF no longer gives an error on Windows NT/2000.
The issue with exporting a schematic using the AutoCAD DXF/DWG interface
only occurs when Protel 99 SE is run on Windows 2000 systems. The reason
for
its occurrence is currently not known but investigation into the problem is
being made. At present, there is no work around, other than running the
export DXF/DWG process from Protel Schematic on PCs with Windows 95, 98 or
NT.
