I think more or less every company that does search has enough data to do similar things .... at least google hasn't bowed down to government pressure to open up user information... Further any such practices do come out soon enough and there will be repercussions for any company... like the anti-trust case with microsoft... DOJ couldn't even break the company as they intended to do. Further MS has gained monopoly by clever use of business tactics, monopolistic practices. Google seems to have done most of it with genuine footing on good technology. Google acquired doubleclick to stop MS from acquiring it... this does have an evil side to it because it gives the people from doubleclick access to the google board. And those guys are pretty darn evil. these lawsuits keep happening... one day google tries to pull MS into court for antitrust case.. other day MS and yahoo do it for advertising.. it's just democracy and free market... that's how new technologies come... and die... and lawyers get paid..
