I think it should focus on desktop use as it's on the rise. We really really really need to have something that developers can benefit from. Like perhaps intro to tools like Mono(for C# fans who want to switch for development), eclipse or maybe the performance gains in various tools.. even a good discussion on "java on linux" can be good.
How about having some kind of competition or just a more "for-fun" type developer activity.... if we have paper presentations or sth, I think we need to have some prize for people who make it more interesting and fun. We don't really need "big names" just interesting things to discuss can do. I think we need to have some kinda suggestions session as to what OSS needs to get a stronger foothold on the desktop market.. ( i prefer to have it more on development side, but even socioeconomic issues come ) or as in Nepal's case, into the enterprise space. Maybe places like CAN can support some of these discussions, especially with enterprises. We do need some kind of enterprise support in Nepal so that FOSS rises.
