Prices are dropped by 175$ according to Dell's website if you don't need
windows vista/xp.. for free operating systems. One can buy a laptop/notebook
with FreeDos free of cost for that.

 In the mean time Ubuntu can be installed in those notebooks. People can
save money and buy a good laptop at 600$ with core2duo .. 2 gb ram 160 gb
hdd and all other accessories. Its in Dell's website as per today's date :
