Oh yeah... the "Running Linux" book is also pretty decent in this series...
Also I found the Operating Systems Principles books (Peter Galvin)...
pretty good for understanding.. esp for people more familiar with java....
multithreading is a tough nut to get ur head around.... hehe.. oh yeah and
you will understand windows systems better once u get familiar with
unices....
