Really you have nothing to do when you have to deal with your *closed source* customer or company. I had a real life experience regarding this issue. One of my friend was really a high ranked developer in top coder and he is also a open source promoter. Once he had a big trouble with one company regarding this issue and he lost in the case with that company and he also lost his membership and $500 there. Whereas in closed source, though you know that something is very nasty in security issue and also you know the way of imporving but you have nothing to do with it...cause it is closed source.
