This is my first mail so hello to everybody :) I am doing B.Tech at NIT, Durgapur Recently our college setup a proxy (squid/2.5.STABLE12). I scanned all the ports and found only port 3128 be open remaining all other porst are filtered. I use pidgin IM, i am able to connect to gmail and msn server but not able to connect to freenode and yahoo server. I am presently using mibbit(webchat) and it works fine. Is there anything that can be done inorder to connect to freenode and yahoo using pidgin. Mitesh.
