The fact realated to facebook and gmail is not the KDE developers. It was the facebook and Gmail developers who intended facebook and gmail is for firefox, internet explorer, opera, safari, etc. Look on gmail, everyone now a days hangs with gmail. Do you have any pecular g mail behaviour in all kinda browser? no, the answer is no. I even don't know why they don't like to include KHTML in their programming part. just why? I remember some of the innovations from KHTML, It's been 11 years, and many ideas were rolled from different browser vendors regarding the rendering. The Idea KHTML gave at that time, the painting method is still the fastest way to draw pages in sceen and still some browsers vendor believes in this method. I know the Qpainter stuffs. I even know that there were only three browsers who passed acid 2 and Acid 3 test first, they were KHTML, Webkit and Prescot. Who had contributed a lot in SVG graphics ? which will be the heart of tomorrows web 2.0. staying with W3C standard won't make browser that much good as we expected but it needs the webprogrammer infact.
