Hi, I think solar is the best option but cost of initial set up much higher and something needs to be done. We ourselves are somewhat responsible for the increase in load shedding. We use electrical equipments more than usual in such time and charging of the batteries does not help either, coz.efficiency of such appliances is much low. And also NEA's policy of minimum allocation of units is not working well. They should encourage people to use less by reducing the quota of minimum use and fee as well. I think this can reduce the use of household electricity by more than 20%.
Will load shedding reach 20 hrs per day? and how soon will it happens?
