we foss lovers want Nepalese to be aware of proprietary softwares, we
always discuss about the worst scenario of piracy in nepal, but we are
i think indirectly incouraging the pirated os users to stick around
it... use Open source softwares but stick around the proprietary
operating system.

it would be best if we could more or less always focus on providing
open source os trainings and workshops rather promoting the use of
open source softwares on proprietary m$ OSes. i am not completely
against the distribution of packaged exe s,i am used to them, but i
think our focus should be more on removing proprietary foundation.

i am using vlc, FireFox, PidGin, 7-zip, blender, OpenOffice, gimp for
my day to day work and am ready to switch anytime to the Open Source
OS but can't do anything without internet in linux.and it's still
tough to leave pirated os completely.

can a cd like nirvikalpa having packages for ubuntu or fedora and
their installation procedure be maintained parallely? especially
including updated virsions of OSS, deve-packages & tools

would be thankful
