We have 2 prospective for everything. You saw one side and I see the other. The use of Nirvikalpa like collection is first phase of migration if not going a bigbang... You cannot ask flex printers to use gimp or others instead of the s/w that comes with the flex machine(only for windows) but u can let them use firefox instead of IE or pidgin for IM. So, I think Nirvikalpa adds to the user of FOSS.
